WATAP provides assistive technology resources and expertise to Washington residents who face challenges related to disability and aging as well as family members, employers, and service providers in employment, healthcare, community living, and education.

Device Lending Library

Borrow a device from our statewide lending library as a short term accommodation or to decide if it suits your needs before making a financial commitment. More about borrowing policies and partnerships.

Device Demonstration

Hands-on comparison of products, guided by a knowledge AT Specialists, help individuals make informed decisions about product purchases. We don't sell products so demos remain impartial.

Alternative financing

Through our partners at the Northwest Access Fund individuals have an alternative option for financing AT devices and services, home and vehicle modifications, or business equipment.

Equipment reuse

Get high quality, gently used equipment at a lower cost than new through our Evergreen Reuse Coalition partners. Exchange, sell, or buy gently used equipment online using the AT Classified.

iCanConnect: National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution

Through partnership with the Perkins School for the Blind, WATAP provides telecommunications equipment to eligible low-income applicants who have combined vison and hearing loss.

3D Printed AT Program

Get free simple 3D Printed AT to help with simple daily living tasks.

Technical Assistance

WATAP provides technical assistance to state and local government agencies, institutes of higher education, organizations, and businesses on issues of AT service and program design.  

Professional Development

WATAP works collaboratively with the UW Center for Technology & Disability and other AT providers to develop integrated training and educational courses that address AT issues.
